A story of mutual aid
It was in 2000 that the L'Assomption MRC Home Support Table prioritized caregivers in its action plan to improve support for natural caregivers. The Table de concertation is made up of community organizations and public organizations working with people with a loss of autonomy or with a health problem. The RANCA was born on March 19, 2002 by giving itself an independent board of directors and was represented at the Health and Social Services Agency. In 2005, the organization received its first stabilized funding for the organization of activities and services for members and the population of the MRC L'Assomption. The emergency respite was born in the process, making it possible to offer a service in collaboration with the current CISSS Lanaudière. In 2006, the Colloquium for natural caregivers brought together natural caregivers and better identified their needs.
Our mission
Our mission is to bring together and support the caregivers of the MRC l'Assomption. We want to empower caregivers to care for their loved ones with confidence. We believe in the importance of caregiver autonomy, and we are here to help them take care of themselves too. We support their collective and individual requests to improve services for them.
